Charles Sandford's custom-turns for high quality designer furniture. He's set up for one-offs or high volume multiples.  He specialises in traditional and rare turning effects nigh impossible to find elsewhere. Spirals with single or multiple starts, rope twists, barley sugar twists, reeding, fluting.

He has the tools for traditional construction techniques - thread-cutting for wooden knobs and bolts, long-hole boring, dove-tail slotting for pedestal tables.  Clients respect Charles' eye for shape and proportion. Which is why he was given the honor of creating the wooden base for the Melbourne Cup.  And why there are Charles' Sandford pedestal columns in houses owned by the National Trust. And why he was asked to turn a set of huge beechwood columns for the London Opera House.
